I hope that everyone had a most enjoyable Thanksgiving yesterday. However the tradition began, we should remember that this holiday is there as a time to sit back and reflect upon what we are thankful for in our lives. There will always be something that isn’t quite right, but I hope you acknowledged, at least to yourself, what is right. Families and friends gathering can be overwhelming, indulgent, or small but it’s a worthwhile affair.
This Thanksgiving had me doubly thankful. November 25 is my anniversary, and this year marked four years married and nearly seven years together. We didn’t make a big deal of it, and didn’t receive very many “happy anniversary”‘s but we had already anticipated that and so enjoyed the day for what it was. We’ll go out tonight to celebrate. I would like to say HAPPY ANNIVERSARY once more for when he does read this blog, as he does on occasion.
I was slightly distressed by the insistance that some places had on playing Christmas music directly after Halloween. I am grateful that my work was not one of them. Now that it’s after Thanksgiving, I won’t mind so much. Once again though, I am not participating in Black Friday. I just don’t have the energy or stamina to deal with those crowds.
Signing off for now. Safe shopping and warm tidings for recuperation afterward.
